Camp Pendleton neighbors warned of increased noise

Neighborhoods near Camp Pendleton can expect an increased noise level from the base from this morning through Thursday, Marine Corps officials said.

Marines will be conducting live-fire exercises that can send booming sounds to Orange and San Diego counties. Depending on cloud cover, the sounds can sometimes be heard up to 40 miles away.
