One woman dies, another hospitalized in Fullerton fire

One woman died tonight and another was badly burned in a fire at a Fullerton home, authorities said.

The blaze broke out about 7:25 p.m. in the 2000 block of Victoria Drive. Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly an about hour before knocking it down, Fullerton Fire Chief Gary Dominguez said.

He said the house was filled with an unusual amount of debris. "It hampered firefighters' access into the house," Dominguez said.

The injured woman was taken to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
