3 arrested in gang raids connected to Lakers victory unrest

Three people were arrested early this morning in countywide raids connected with the unrest that broke out in June following the Lakers' NBA championship victory, authorities said.

The 6 a.m. raids involved at least two dozen sites, said Lt. Erik Ruble of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department's transit services bureau, which provides law enforcement services for the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Deputies are targeting a specific South L.A. gang, whose members are suspected of damaging several buses, rail cars and other MTA property during the downtown riots, Ruble said.

The three arresting this morning were nabbed for parole violations unrelated to the street violence, he said.

now theye should not just lock them up but make them pay for the damages PLUS fines. Who cares if it takes them 20 or 30 yrs.

About time. What took the LADP so long? Afraid of the ACLU perhap? If tax evasion can land you in jail why not this.

good work. now send these idiots to jail for a long time.

Im glad that three were arrested for bringing shame to our beautiful city of the angels, i only wish more were arrested. In the future remember there are cameras everywhere.

Should just burn down their "cribs" so they won't have anywhere to hide - then just shoot 'em DEAD!

Well, wouldn't you know that most were Parolees!
Hell,.....Let's let some more out!
