State will expedite Jackson burial permit, if requested
Michael Jackson's family said today that they are no longer considering burying the pop superstar at Neverland Ranch. But the state’s Cemetery and Funeral Bureau said it won’t stand in the way of a funeral or burial at Neverland Ranch – if that’s what Michael Jackson’s family chooses.
Amanda Fulkerson, a spokeswoman for the bureau, said the agency was contacted by someone claiming to be a Jackson family attorney requesting information on how to obtain a burial permit on private land. So far, no formal application has been filed, Fulkerson said, but once the state receives it, it could be approved immediately.
Santa Barbara County’s attorney had suggested that the process with the state might take weeks or months. But Fulkerson clarified: “We stand ready to expedite the process. We can do it as soon as they file their application.” In addition to a state permit, the family would also have to receive approval from the county.

What's the problem with just having him buried in the NAMBLA national cemetary?

I'm sure that he would be welcome in the NAMBLA national cemetery. If that's not workable, some foreign landfill would do just as well.

Michael Jackson was found to be NOT GUILTY on numerous charges in his trial. Being charged is not being found guilty. It is why we have juries and trials and courts. Your little joke about a NAMBLA burial is extremely inappropriate. Have you ever heard of showing some respect for the dead?
I think your login name of WhoCares is quite appropriate. Michael Jackson did a great deal for various charities. Oh sure, he was a little strange, but let's see how you'd be if you were in the limelight since the age of 8.
In a hundred years, Michael Jackson will still be known for his contributions to music, while you and I will be just dust in the ground.

Steve C: the state botched the case. NOT GUILTY does not mean INNOCENT. Remember the Brashears interview?
Even members of the jury have said they felt pressure of his celebrity to acquit.

revjohnson: Yes, not guilty does not mean innocent. But, obviously, it also doesn't that he IS guilty. The court (and you) can't just assume that he did it without any solid evidence, celeberity status or not.

CAILFORNIA WHO CLAIMS THEY ARE IN DEBT WOULD BE A FOOL NOT TO BURY MICHAEL JACKSON ON THE NEVERLAND RANCH... THE MONEY IT CAN BRING IN WITH HIM ONSITE WOULD BE TREMENDOUS... I AM QUITE SURE THEY CAN FIND A WAY TO FLOW TRAFFIC IN AND OUT OF THERE WITHOUT DISTURBING THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORS...IT WOULD BE JUST PLAIN RIDICULOUS TO IGNORE SUCH PROFIT THAT STATE NEEDS.PLUS WITH SO MUCH ACRES THERE IT IS EASY TO HAVE A SECTION TURNED INTO A BURIAL SITE... HECK, LOOK AT GRACELAND...

What is the point of burying him at Neverland as it held bad memories for him the last few years (the pedophilia lawsuits)iand he left it., never to return.

I sincerely hope that Michael will be buried at Neverland, it was a place he created himself and where he felt happiest. Despite the raids on the ranch and him subsequently leaving it, I feel that to bury him there would be fitting and would go a small way to giving him back his dignity in death. Michael has many fans worldwide and we all would welcome the chance to make a pilgrimage to his burial place to pay our last respects. We would respectfully like to show our support of him and he is still as important to us in death as he was in life. It is my dream to visit Neverland, I'm sure the same goes for many other people. I think it would be a wonderful and fitting tribute to a great man. Love you forever Michael. x

PLEASE BURY MICHAEL JACKSON AT NEVERLAND! In addition. Michael did not molest either of those two boys. The first boy refused his parents wishes to take the stand against Michael. The second boy, there was no evidence that it happened. The charges were made by the mother who was a welfare cheat and manipulated the situation. Only two boys out of thousands and thousand MJ was around. There would have been many more if he was that kind of person. Read court transcripts. Don't be judge and jury without knowing what you are talking about.
To Michael: Rest in the arms of your maker, you will struggle no more. Thank you for a lifetime of joy and cherished memories. xoxo

This has become a three ring circus. Just bury the man for christ's sake. I loved Michael Jackson, I grew up on his music - but this outlandish over the top sense of sensationalism is rediculous. He was and is the King of Pop but he's not the "second coming" for Christ sake. The Jackson's are a bit to caught up in their own importance at this point. Time to take this down to sea level, bury Michael and enjoy the gifts he left behind. Give fans a place to see him and after awhile this will be normal again. BURY THE MAN!!! PLEASE!
