Two caucasian faces on the list - John Mayer & Brooke Shields. What talent could Shields possibly contribute?

The circus must end. And end NOW! The time has come for a little dignity and class. I hope they conduct themselves with dignity and stop this circus. And I hope the burial is private, and will not become another circus.

A whole gaggle of B-list. Micheal Jackson deserved better.

Where is Paul McCartney, Britany Spears, Jay Leno, Barbara Streisand, Lisa Marie Presley, Liza Minnelli, Pete Townsend, Steven Tyler, Cher, Sean Lennon, Oliva Newton John?

Hollywood - sure is fake.

I think this is a great line up and I can't wait to see them all via television since I didn't win tickets to see it live.

All I can really say at this point is..."WOOP TE DO!" And hope you're resting in peace Michael.

Well at least they will have some people with class. The BET awards were all ghetto and did not represent Michael Jackson with dignity. Beyonce would have been okay if she hadn't dressed in a bathing suit type dress. Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, lots of CLASS. Jamie Foxx was a disgrace.

Why everything we do is rigged?

I personally think that to honor this person with this much media hype makes such a sad statement for our society, for America...it's a national disgrace to revere someone who has ruined God knows how many children's lives. He had no redeming qualities and any "star" attending will forever lose my respect as a human being.

How famouse do you have to be to be guaranteed a ticket.

Would mayor Villar get one. How about Obama, assuming he cared to go.

How about John McCain or the Vice President.

Would OJ get a ticket if he were not in the slammer?

How about some children from local kindergartens?

Vito

I pray that the memorial gathering of Michael Jackson's peers and those who admired him brings sweet joy, love and comfort to the Jackson family. And that together all of our prayers will bombard heaven, that God will meet each one of their individual needs and allow their memories to become their treasure in days to come.

IN BRAZIL ALL ARE VERY SAD.... MICHAEL NO DAD, JUST REST.... JUST REST. I CRY EVERY DAY.... MY PAST DIE TOGETHER WITH HIM.... BY FRIEND... REST IN PEACE

Thank you, Michael Joseph Jackson for not only your awesome musical talent, but, for your contribution to others, especially children. Heaven's gates rang loudly as you passed through. God grant you peace and love. You did what you were born to do and let us quickly. How sick and sad are hearts are. But, thank God our world was and always be blessed with your greatness. Forever a fan to "The Man in the Mirrow." God bless and comfort your family! You will always be in their hearts and your true fans!

Hallo I answer from Spain. I think that Brooke Shield was one of Michael ´ s friends and when he was young, he was in love of her. Is logical that she´ll be there tomorrow. Michael would like it. Rest in peace. Descansa en paz. Siempre estás con nosotros, angel. You´re always with us, angel. Gaêlle

I had heard that Diana Ross was going to eulogize. That will be very tough for her and I pray for her strength.

@Sherry Jones - Brooke and Michael dated when they were teenagers. She has an emotional investment - nothing else.

S. Jones are you for real. Brooke Shields and Michael Jackson dated in the 80's. Also it is a memorial, not a concert there isnt supposed to be a tribute concert but a farwell service. Have you ever been to a memorial?

People please try and remember that while Michael Jackson was a huge celebrity he was first and foremost a human being as are the family and friends who loved him. So, no matter what your personal views are try to keep that in mind. This is a place for fans to share their grief and post their goodbyes to someone they held dear for whatever their reasons and that should be respected.
Negative comments about Michael Jackson are inappropriate here and serve to hurt no one but innocent people who are already hurting over his loss whether it be family, friend or fan.

Please, there are many other areas where opinions can be posted but here is not the place.

As for me, I hope Michael is finally at peace and I am eternally grateful for the joy so much of his music has brought me over the past 4 decades.

Another musical genius has gone on to rock and roll heaven!

While the focus today, tomorrow and for the next
God-knows-how-many-days will be the death of a pop culture
icon; while many will mourn, wail and quite literally
make fools of themselves over it and while
as many will speak endlessly about it, allow me, if
only for a moment, to remind us all that others have
died this month; others whose lives were cut short; others
who leave behind loved ones and whose families will dearly
miss them; families who'll suffer with much
more dignity and honor than we'll be exposed to on
the tube in the coming days.

Yes... it's true... we've suffered a great loss...
but forgive me while I tell you that I'm not talking
about the king of pop music.

These American military members died in Iraq this
month:
Sergeant Justin J. Duffy
Specialist Christopher M. Kurth
Specialist Charles D. Parrish
Lance Corporal Robert D. Ulmer
Staff Sergeant Edmond L. Lo
Sergeant Joshua W. Soto
Captain Kafele H. Sims
Specialist Chancellor A. Keesling

And these members of our U.S. Armed Forces died in Afghanistan this
month:
Sergeant Jones, Ricky D.
Specialist Munguia Rivas, Rodrigo A.
Command Master Chief Petty Officer Garber, Jeffrey J.
1st Sergeant Blair, John D.
Sergeant Smith, Paul G.
Staff Sergeant Melton, Joshua
Sergeant 1st Class Dupont, Kevin A.
Specialist O'Neill, Jonathan C.
Chief Warrant Officer Richardson Jr., Ricky L.
Specialist Silva, Eduardo S.
Lance Corporal Whittle, Joshua R.
Major Barnes, Rocco M.
Major Jenrette, Kevin M.
Staff Sergeant Beale, John C.
Specialist Jordan, Jeffrey W.
Specialist Griemel, Jarrett P.
Specialist Hernandez I, Roberto A.
Sergeant Obakrairur, Jasper K.
Staff Sergeant Hall, Jeffrey A.
Private 1st Class Ogden, Matthew D.
Private 1st Class Wilson, Matthew W.

Let's remember and honor this day
those whose deaths are truly impacting.

To S. Jones:

You have a problem with caucasian faces in the crowd?

Michael was a star for EVERYONE, not just non-caucasians.
Brooke Shields was a dear friend of Michael's, and I know he would be pleased that she was there. She is also, and has always been, a class act, and I am sure she will do him proud today.

You need to go sit in a corner and be quiet.

How much is this memorial service costing us. We don't even have money to pay our bills. Memorial services should be private. Is the family paying for the security and all the other expenses?

I can not believe this is actually happening. How can one person with such questionable history shut down freeways and cause millions of dollars in damage to an already cash strapped city? How can the press cover it so extensively while forgetting all the bad news they themselves reported about him over the years?

At first I couldn't understand why everyone was commenting about "Sherri Jones" but now I see. Ms. Jones please understand that this a memorial not a talent show/contest. I also was hoping for a more racially mixed line up but..... Does everyone really want to mourn or remember publicly?

I pray wholeheartly for the Jackson family (especially the kids). Regardless of ALL scrutiny--I Love Michael.

****Bill Hemmer- Thank you for your eye opening comment.

Today is To be remembered and mourn that have holidays for the ost soldiers in Iraq let me not remind you Memorial Day did past so if you feel some kind of way light a candle for those who died over seas but let the KING OF POP REST all of that nonsense about him messing with kids is all bull crap

Enjoy Your sollow lives!!!

OH, GOD, BILL, shut your pie hole, jeez, you'd think one can stop talking about the stupid military to honor one of our brothers in Entertainment. He did alot more in charity than any of your military grunts will ever do in their lifetime. I for one will miss MJ. I don't know anybody in the military nor do I care for the war that costs us more than MJs funeral/memorial.

Thank you Michael for everything you have done for me and others.. We will miss you
For everyone having negative remarks.. You can simply change the channel, not read our posting and go on with your lives. Let us morn who we feel is our love one. I will pray for your family, the living and and the dead. But please respect ours.

OH, GOD, BILL, shut your pie hole, jeez, you'd think one can stop talking about the stupid military to honor one of our brothers in Entertainment. "

YOUR A MINORITY, MOST PEOPLE INCLUDING THE DECEASED ENTERTAINER WHO DIED AT HIS OWN HANDS WOULD NOT SUPPORT YOUR STATEMENT
