Fight over potato chips leads to shooting, six arrests in San Diego

July 9, 2009 |  9:20 am

A fight over potato chips outside a San Diego liquor store led to a drive-by shooting and the arrest of six suspected gang members, police said today.

The incident began around midnight when six young men left Mullen's liquor store in the Logan Heights neighborhood with several bags of chips without paying, police said. A security guard chased the men outside, and a fight ensued.

The alleged chip thieves drove off but returned minutes later and fired two shots into the store while shouting gang affiliations, according to police. No one was injured.

Six men were later arrested on charges of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and parole violations. A .38-caliber revolver and several bags of chips were recovered in the suspects' car.

What cowards! Sound like street punks who don't even have enough money to buy a bag of chips. Next time, boys, ask mommy for some cash.

All that and a bag of chips.

What kind of chips were they?

What a low grade gang! Shooting over a few bags of chips? Morans! Good job parents for raising your kids with such moral values. They will the spend (waste) their next 4 - 6 years of their young lives in prison thinking about it. There ought to be a law for punishing their parents as well!
