'Hop on, hop off' Starline tour makes Westside debut

July 6, 2009 |  5:28 pm

Starline Tours' familiar double-decker red sightseeing buses are now looping through the Westside, with an official launch planned for Thursday. Passengers in the open-air conveyances may hop on and off at stops including Santa Monica College, the Santa Monica Pier, Montana Avenue, the Third Street Promenade, the Hammer Museum and the Brentwood Country Mart.

The Westside route is the latest in a network that also covers Hollywood, Beverly Hills and downtown Los Angeles. Tickets may be purchased for 24 or 48 hours. Prices vary, but a family pass (two adults and as many as three children) costs $90 for a single day.

For route and ticket information, visit the Starline Tours website.
