Glendale shooting victim identified

Authorities have identified the man who was shot to death near the Glendale Galleria in the city's first homicide of the year as 35-year-old Ara Terunyan of North Hollywood.

Terunyan was sitting inside his sport-utility vehicle across the street from the Glendale Galleria around 11 a.m. Wednesday when a gunman walked up to the driver's side window and fired several shots inside, Glendale police said.

Police are still searching for the gunman. Detectives had only a vague description of him and no motive.

“It doesn’t appear random, but we’re unsure if it’s business or domestic related,” said Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department.
