L.A. judge arrested on DUI charge
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the Baldwin HIlls/Crenshaw area of South L.A., authorities said today.
Hon. Judge John Thaddeus Doyle, 56, was arrested about 11:15 p.m. Thursday after officers with the LAPD’s South Traffic Division pulled him over in the 4500 block of Don Felipe Drive for an unspecified traffic violation.
Doyle, a criminal court judge, is assigned to the Compton Superior Courthouse, where last August he oversaw the conviction of two men in the 2006 murder of two gas station employees in Carson.
The Compton courtroom was closed Friday for the 4th of July holiday. No further details about the arrest were available.
Doyle was released on $30,000 bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Hmmmmm??? It appears lately that the system is beginning to 'eat' it's own as well. NWO thinning of the herd maybe?

He deserves it - all the courts in Compton Superior are so weak. Compton Judges preside over the worst area of Los Angeles - and they let eveyone off so easy. Compton court is like the eyesore of all the County court houses. Police officers dont want to arrest anyone anymore - they know that Compton court will release them the next day. Its the biggest joke and slap to the judicial system. Send him to divorce court

Lets see him serve time, community service, and pay traffic fines.

I am glad to see that the people who have the power to give judgment over others are also "sometimes" required to live under the justice of law; depending on the organization in charge of course that could have made the arrest.
Lets make the the scales of justice blind.

make him do everything everyone else has to do. Wait in lines, fines, suspended lic. Dealing with DMV, rehab classes. NO professional curtsies, line-cutting, side door entrance.

Niiiiice. How did he not get out of it? He must have been either really drunk or really belligerent. Being a criminal court judge from Compton- i gotta suspect- both are likely. Keep up the good work, officers.

Judge Doyle is the most compassionate Judge around and has been so good to everyone and tries to help everyone he possibly can.

Anyone who says the judges in Compton court are lenient has never really been in the Compton court. It has some of the most conservative judges in the County of Los Angeles. The juries may not be as harsh as in other parts of the County, but the judges sure make up for that. Judge Doyle is actually one which both the prosecution and the defense agree is fair to both sides. He is hard on those who victimize the community, but he is not one who pre-judges a case or a defendant. He lets the jury do its job, and he does his job.
It does not take much in the state of CA to have the probable cause required to be charged with DUI. I would venture to say that if you have had two drinks at a party or event, and left within a three hour period, you could register what is needed for DUI even though you feel sober. So, unless you have an alcohol detector in your car, you just don't know.

It's about time they start paying for their crimes. I'm tired of seeing people in law enforcement and the military getting a free pass while the rest of us have to pay through the nose.
