Police use Taser on man at hospital who threatened nurses with scissors

A drunk, nude man covered in his own blood and armed with scissors was Tasered and arrested by police as he tried to flee a hospital, authorities said.

Daniel Gilberg, 42, of Lancaster, was apparently being treated at the emergency room of Ventura County Medical Center for a head injury he suffered in a fall. He became impatient and yanked out IVs and a catheter, then threatened two nurses with scissors, according to police.
