Spears in process of settling lawsuit brought by former manager

Britney Spears is in the process of settling a Florida lawsuit brought by a former manager who accused her of failing to pay him, the judge supervising the pop star’s affairs said Friday.

The terms of the settlement approved by Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz were not disclosed. Johnny Wright, who managed Spears between 1999 and 2003, had claimed she breached a contract to pay him through last year.

The judge also signed off on  $193,000 in legal fees for the singer’s attorneys, with the majority going to those who handled the Florida case.

A judge placed Spears, 27, in a conservatorship last year that gives her father control over her personal life and shared control of her business matters.
