Michael Jackson is dead [Updated]

Latest news: Pop star Michael Jackson dead at 50

Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead today after paramedics found him in a coma at his Bel-Air mansion, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from the home. When they arrived, Jackson was not breathing.

The paramedics performed CPR and took Jackson to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda said. Hundreds of reporters gathered at the hospital awaiting word on his condition. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said family members rushed to Jackson’s bedside, where he was in a deep coma.

The circumstances of Jackson’s death remain unclear. Law enforcement sources said that Los Angeles Police Department robbery-homicide detectives have opened an investigation into the death, though they stressed that there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

The detectives plan to interview relatives, friends and Jackson’s doctors to try to figure out what happened. The L.A. County coroner’s office will determine a cause of death. A Los Angeles Fire Department source told The Times that Jackson was in full cardiac arrest when rescue units arrived.

A doctor was in the house performing CPR on Jackson, said the source who asked not to be identified  because he was not authorized to speak to the media. Paramedics were called to a home in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard.

Jackson rented the Bel-Air home -- described as a French chateau built in 2002 with seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 12 fireplaces and a theater -- for $100,000 a month. The home is about a six-minute drive from UCLA Medical Center. Jackson has three children -- sons Prince Michael 7, and Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., 12, and daughter Paris Michael Katherine, 11.

Jackson, 50, died as he was attempting a comeback after years of tabloid headlines, most notably his trial and acquittal on child molestation charges.

In May, The Times reported that Jackson had rented the Bel-Air residence and was rehearsing for a series of 50 sold-out shows in London's O2 Arena. Jackson had won the backing of two billionaires to get the so-called "King of Pop" back on stage.

His backers envisioned the shows at AEG's O2 as an audition for a career rebirth that could have ultimately encompassed a three-year world tour, a new album, movies, a Graceland-like museum, musical revues in Las Vegas and Macau, and even a "Thriller" casino. Such a rebound could have wiped out Jackson's massive debt.

Hopefully all those bad people will finally leave you alone and let you have a wonderful after life, Paris, Prince, Micheal I kno how it is to loose a parent at a very young age, I know its not easy right now for you, but sooner or later it will be a lot easier for you handle things, You father was a wonderful singer and i hope one day you guys will follow in his foot steps or just make him proud of you... Sorry about your father again, and god bless you!

Nothing to see with M. Jackson, but I can't email that through another way, so please, would you do the necessary for the follow up of this new in LA TIMES, about Pernell Roberts' death on january 24th 2010 - last actor in BONANZA. Thank you.

Well I felt already strongly hurted and in great pain when emails of friends, by night, and a telephone call announced to me that our dear Pernell Roberts had pass away on January Sunday 24th of this new year, a great part of me has died whith him that day, I'll go on missing him and it will go on hurting until the end of my life, I signed his guestbook and explain there why, but I couldn't let say that he had been married 4 times, so let me show you what a person of his family emailed me one day :

Merry Christmas to you also.

Pernell has a livin' girlfriend. Some call her his wife. They're not legally married, but it doesn't matter. I'm sorry sweetie but he's taken. You'll have to set your sights on someone else. LOL

I had no sight at all, Dixie's always jocking , nothing more than asking him to send me a picture of him so that we could see how he looked, in 2008 we obtain this picture of him, because he's always been a very special and good person to me.
He never loved what he did in Bonanza, and it showed sometimes, he was tired to say "yes 'pa - no 'pa", most of all for him, who represented the oldest son, he wanted to call him "father", and there were many things he didn't agreed with Dortort, that's why he leaved the serial at the end of the 6th season and get back on the stage, he loved theater much more.
He loved beatifull things, he was always fond to learn new things, and was very scholar, he loved as well good kitchen, fine and delicates things to know in matter of cook, he was himself a very good cooker, he was generally very polished and good person with the people he could meet around him, he had humor and great laughters, and he was so wise !

So I couldn't let written a false information about him : on his site on internet it's been said that he was married 4 times and that's wrong, look a what Dixie emailed me.

- In 1951 he married Vera Mowry, his theater professor, they had a son, Chistopher (Johnattan), who sadly died in 1989, aged 37, in a motrocycle crash.

- In 1963 he married Judith Le Becque, chorus-singer, they had both a wonderful voice, Pernell had a baritone voice, but he made only one album, saying he left the songs for his wife, when all his fans asked for more !

- In 1975 he married Kara, with who he lived longest, 20 years, and however divorced.

Eleanor Criswell Hanna has her own business in Novato, northern California, and had never been his wife, they met in the late years, and lived together, he was already sick.
He was already sick in 2008 March, on the picture he, at last, sent to me, I saw such an emptiness in his eyes always so full of expressions, he looked more like a 90 y.o. man than 79, and that's probably why he didn't want to make anymore pictures and didn't want to send.

Thank you for correcting this error, sincerely,
Nicky Bonamigo.

Michael jackson is the greatest person i know and he is my hero. I think what killed him was the doctor that stays at his house. Also i think that his doctor that stays at his house told him to take all of those pills thats what i think.
