Michael Jackson's death: 'Everyone is just crying'
Brian Oxman, a Jackson family attorney, spoke to reporters this afternoon outside the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
“Everyone is just crying," Oxman said of the family. "I hugged Randy. He just cried. I hugged Jermaine. He just cried.”
“Michael is my friend, my compatriot,” Oxman said, his voice breaking. “The fans here – they loved this man. I loved this man.”
Oxman said all the family was at the hospital, except father Joe Jackson, who was on his way. Oxman described the family as heartbroken.
“The hurt is overwhelming,” said Oxman, one of Jackson’s attorneys in his 2005 molestation trial. “There’s never been anyone like Michael Jackson. I was with Michael at the darkest hour of his life when these charges were made, which I knew were false.”

Its a sad day for all. I remember seeing Michael and his brothers when they had their very first concert at at The Forum here in LA. I have followed his career for years later. It saddens me that the media and the public for the most part yapping at his heels for years behind all the allegations that he was never found guilty on,I never thought for one second that he committed these acts. Some of the people in my neighborhood are extremely stupid and ignorant as well as being insensitive, they are still holding that mess over his head instead of mourning this man's death. What is our society coming to. Michale RIP.

Michael Jackson took everyone by surprise with his sudden
and unexpected death. A musical legend who left his mark
on the music world and will be missed by many world-wide.

MJ "lived" from 1976 to 1989 -- created by his handlers for an adoring public demanding that he perform like the child singer he was in the 60's. Doesn't that make all of us kind of sick? Putting pressure on a young man to remain prepubescent in order to sell more records was a sound marketing strategy that made a lot of cash for a lot of people, including MJ.
Certainly sad, but still a fascinating thing to watch as it played itself out. There is absolutely no doubt the psychologico-surgeco- chemico stress was bearing down on him for his final 25 years. The laws of nature will always win in the end.

R.I.P Michael Jackson forever <3
A true legend. You are an inspiration. Your life was a very long and complex journey. You went through a lot of hype, the crap from the media and criticism from the public and haters (I swear, they are part of the damages and they should not be forgiven. Those ignorant turds only want to destroy others through pure jealously and stupidity). I cant believe you had to go through all that crap. We are proud that you have had pulled it through, and working hard on your comeback.
Our prayers go to Michaels family and friends.

I grew up aping the Man. He is a DNA apart... he was and will always be cherished for the rest of my life. I still hold on to many of his badges, song books & even as they played over the TV a few of his tracks you could not help but move a finger or a toe to step up the dance mood. We love u MJ and we pray for your soul : Rest in peace. & THANK YOU for making me win an award in College : by quoting your very verses on Black & White. U meant & always will mean a lot to this generation & the many generations to come.

Whether you believe the hype or the accusations over the man's life in recent times or not, is not the issue.
He shaped the world's look on music, in all its various forms, his talent for seeing through the eyes
of a child, with wonderment is a testament to whom he was, in his death millions will mourn the loss,
he should be admired for his talent and for his innovation. Through this man we all learned to see the world
as a wonderous place, even in the darker sides of life and love. To his family I mourn the loss of
a talented son, brother and father. To his fans we lost a father, a child, a magician, an illusionist, one
of the greatest storytellers we shall ever know. His life was still his to live, who are we to judge.
Long live the memory of Michael.

i had always dreamed of being able to see michael jackson perform on stage since i was a kid. i did not have the opportunity to see his concert when he went on tour to my country because of the lack of money. i would stay up all night just to watch his interviews on tv , to get inspired by his dedication to his art, to his career, to his family, to the children and to the world. i never believed even once, any of the allegations about him. i guess because that was how convinced i am that he is a genuinely good person. i adored him with all my heart. now that he is gone, my dream of seeing him will never be realized but i will never stop listening to his music because i know that he will forever live in his legacy, his songs. i will surely miss him. may he rest in peace.

as i sit here and look at all the media hear michaels music and see all the people who mourn him (including me) i can't help but cry my heart is hurting that i may have never met personally but felt like i knew him because he gave so much love to the world and his fans that i feel i had a close bond with him...as i sit here writing this i cry in memory of a man that deserved so much an icon of the decades that can never be replaced. i was born in the 80's so i had the pleasure of growing up to some of his best music to name a few thriller, bad, the way you make me feel, black and white, we are the world ... i can go on and on...i am proud to have gotten a chance to be part of the life of michael jackson who is gone too soon as is called one of his songs ...gone to soon was a song he sang to a little boy named ryan who was dying of aids....it killed michael inside when ryan died,as did it hurt michael very much in the passing of james brown another great musician....i am overwhellmed by this passing it has affected me and my family dearly... michael is was and always will be a legend ... my heart goes out to the jackson family for they are the ones that suffer most from this untimely death of one of the best singers and the only king of pop in the world....my heart goes out also to his 3 children whom had a wonderful and loving father....may he be sitting beside the lord in heaven....michael u may b gone but u will never be forgotten for your life and music will live on in each and everyone of us (your family and fans) your legacy and story will still be talked about your music still heard for generations to come...thank you for giving so much of yourself to us and now your in a much bettter place where noone could falsely accuse you of something or mistreat you in anyway....i wish i could of gotten the chance to go to meet you in person but destiny thought otherwise.... goodbye may you be waiting at heavens gates for all of us to be able to see you again...R.I.P michael i love you 1958-2009

my dad was the first one to tell me that Michael died. i was like "Michael who?" he said "Michael Jackson" and i'm like "WHAT?!!"
i was shocked. i couldn't even believe it. i just stared at the television screen, saying "Oh, my God..."
it's a hell of a loss. everyone's still hurting 3 days later. you know, it's funny how for some people 3 days can feel like 3 years.
my late mother was the one that introduced me to his music. i find myself watching his "Thriller" music video every day now and, well, life's gonna seem really different without Michael Jackson around. May you rest in peace, Mr. Jackson, and my condolences to your family and fans.
Posted by: Malik Roberts | June 28, 2009 at 04:25 PM
my heart is cringing inside for a person i have never met personally. you see, Michael healed the world, when you listen to his music..you feel good.now that he's physically gone, every time i see his face or listen to his music, i just weep; because i know we will never get anything new or unique from his talent anymore. we just have to appreciate and cherish the gift he has given us all throughout his life..he was truly a sweet, charitable, genuine, and funny person. the scrutiny media put him through was totally unnecessary and disrespectful...i feel bad for him, for all the pain he was put through. However, he is surely a legend and will never be forgotten because of the good he has done for humanity in many ways...Its sad how many people look at the negative side of his life (which mostly isn't true) rather than the positive side of what he had done. I PRAY For his family, children, and close friends. RIP MICHAEL JACKSON...THE ONE AND ONLY MOONWALKIN' KING OF POP...

sorry if this has been said before...
i think that all this sadness and hurt has some part in the guilt we have for...
taking his presence here for granted,
for the doubts we have had,
any unkind words we might have said about him,
and the lack of expressing ourselves...WHILE HE WAS STILL ALIVE...and now as he lays to rest in peace,
it is us (myself included) who is no longer at rest for the regret in our deepest souls
Rest in Peace Michael Jackson...
