Courtroom details of alleged Rihanna attack by Chris Brown won't be televised

June 18, 2009 | 12:30 pm

Rhianna The details of the violent confrontation that left Rihanna bruised and bloodied and Chris Brown facing felony assault charges will not be broadcast to a television audience.

A judge has denied media requests for cameras in the courtroom for Monday’s preliminary hearing, according to court officials. Sketch artists will be permitted to draw the proceeding.

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is among the witnesses subpoenaed for the hearing, at which prosecutors must demonstrate sufficient evidence to go forward to trial.

Brown, 20, faces nearly five years in prison if convicted of two charges stemming from the February attack in Hancock Park. Rihanna, 21, told authorities that the R&B singer punched, bit and threatened her after a quarrel over text messages from another woman.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

justice is different for the rich and famous.

i reallly hope justice is served. this country needs some structure. he harmed her, and he should pay the consequences.

Justice is not different for the rich and the famous, it all depends on the color of your skin. Yes, I said it, every since O.J. was found not guilty for killing his ex wife, black celebs on trial, have had it hard, even for the ones that had never been in trouble before, Michael Vick. Even now, O.J. is paying for that verdict, I don't care what that judge said. Yea, what Chris did was wrong, this is a young man that has never been in trouble before, yet they are trying to give him five years, so it's not different if you are rich famous, not black anyways. Rihanna should be held accountable for what she did, no, because she is a woman. I know I am going to offend some people, but I don't care.

I agree with you differ, I am surprised you comment got approved, I did a message similar on here and it never got published, I wonder if this one now will get posted, as I am agreeing with your statement, that's one of the reason why people are supporting Chris, the media treatment is unfair because his Black and that's fact but mostly only some black people can see that, as Whites will never understand but stereotype them all
