A bald Phil Spector captured in new prison photo [Updated]
During his six-year odyssey through the L.A. criminal justice system, Phil Spector sported a range of hairstyles, including a gray Afro and a blond bob.
But this morning, the state corrections department released a photo showing how the legendary music producer appears without access to toupees, styling products or the talents of his wife, who styled his hair throughout his trials.
The photo was taken last week at North Kern State Prison, where Spector, 69, is beginning his sentence of 19 years to life for actress Lana Clarkson's murder.
[Updated at 5:04 p.m.: Spector’s wife, Rachelle, was allowed to take a hairpiece to court for his sentencing last month. She said through her publicist: "They took my husband's freedom and dignity ... so why not his hair? This is a personal matter. But in case you don't know, they don't allow for much accessorizing while in prison."]
Check out the photo below of Spector in court.

Hahahahaha!! He never looked better. He should rot in prison for the rest of his miserable life.

Too bad you're not black and a football player instead of a musical genius Phil; you could have been golfing.

So they took off Spector's toupee to expose his baldness yet allowed Paris Hilton to keep her hair extension and make up in her mug shot? Talk about preferential treatment.

Looks like he tried a hair transplant a while back, notice the remains of a front hairline. I did quite enjoy that gargantuan gray Afro, it's a shame they didn't let him take his mug shot with it on. Of all his rug pompadours, by far the best of the lot.

Once a freak always a freak! It's about time that money didn't buy freedom!
Hope he gets a very large cell mate!

How sad.
I remember when I spurned his, among other's, advances because I did not think them "cute" or up to my perfect standards of what 'attractive' is. Only after I aged did I discover how many bad choices I made on that basis, how it hurt my life & how many good friends I never got to know or have.
I wonder if the media enforcement of good looks hadn't infiltrated our lives so, just If, would we have less miserable people? Less mean people that laugh at others demise? Less violence, less gratuitous anger?

Geo, most people dont base their relationships with friends or loved ones on how good or bad looking someone is. You are everything that is wrong with this city and are the epitomy of superficial. go to jail with Phil.

This guy looks better without the wig. Too bad Robert Blake couldn't join him in prison.

This is not journalism. It's National Enquirer quality. Why humiliate him? Isn't the stiff sentence he got enough punishment?

A Celebrity, I don't think anyone that made a comment here has directed towards celebrities as a group. The bottom line is, Phil Spector has been found guilty of murder in a court of law. And because of that people will post hateful comments here, not because he is a celebrity, but because they find what he did wrong.
