Dueling Prop. 8 signs in San Francisco
With more than an hour to go before the Prop. 8 state Supreme Court decision was scheduled to come down, a thicket of satellite trucks had assembled outside the San Francisco Civic Center, and a small crowd of demonstrators waved signs in front of the court house.
Signs were as polarized as the population: " 'Gay' = Pervert" and "Marin County Pride."
"Celebrate Prop. 8!" and "We all deserve the the right to marry."
"Marriage Still = 1 Man + 1 Woman" and "Marriage Equality."

An interesting article on the effect of civil unions/marriage on children: http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/cgi/content/full/118/1/349?ijkey=c82708dc7e97530f2624ed34c118d8c59ed99d5b&keytype2=tf_ipsecsha
Gay people have always had, and will continue to have, children. This really shows the importance of gay marriage and equal rights if we have the children's best in mind!

Someone should hold up this sign: "It's the 21st century. Wake up. Equality for all. Now let's move on."

A "gay equals pervert" sign. Nice. This shows exactly what Prop 8 was about -- and the Yes people say they are just concerned about a term. They would take away all rights from gay people if they could, or when they can, thanks to today's decision allowing that.
