KIIS stays on top of L.A. radio ratings

Top 40 outlet KIIS-FM (102.7) dipped slightly but still maintained its grip atop Los Angeles and Orange County radio ratings last month, while rival pop station KLSX-FM (97.1) continued its attack on the summit, according to figures released today.

KIIS, which has held the top spot all year, garnered a 4.9% share of the listening audience in April, down from 5.2% in March. Talk station KFI-AM (640) remained in second place, repeating its 4.5% share from the month before, according to the Arbitron ratings service, which surveyed listeners 6 and older from April 2 to 29.
