Two people shot at Long Beach hospital

Two people were shot at Long Beach Memorial Hospital this morning, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 11:40 a.m. in the lobby of the hospital in the 2800 block of Atlantic Avenue, said Sgt. Dina Zipalski of the Long Beach Police Department.

The condition of the victims was not immediately available. One source said that there had been fatalities. No other details were available about what led to the shooting or about the gunman.
