The bronze pig stolen from in front of a Mexican restaurant in Chula Vista has been returned, police said today.

The owner of Miguel's restaurant told police he received a call from one of the pignappers saying the pig could be found near the city library. Officers with the Chula Vista Police Department found the pig, wrapped in a blanket.

The 3-foot-tall pig is being kept in the police evidence room while being checked for fingerprints and damage. A $1,000 reward is being offered by San Diego County Crimestoppers leading to an arrest in the case.
