Two guilty in Santa Monica Moose Lodge murders

March 9, 2009 | 12:29 pm

There was some closure this month in a notorious double murder in Santa Monica.

It involved the slaying of two men shot outside the Moose Lodge in Santa Monica in 2005 during an argument at a private party.

Three men were arrested in the shooting. Jose Mojarro and Erick Nunez, both 24, were convicted on first-degree murder charges last week in L.A. Superior Court. They face the possibility of life without parole during sentencing later this month. The third suspect has not gone to trial yet.
