Prosecutors detail 95 'overt acts' in Anna Nicole Smith case, list drugs

March 13, 2009 |  9:55 am

Prosecutors detailed 95 "overt acts" committed between 2004 and 2007 in which Anna Nicole Smith's boyfriend and two doctors allegedly supplied the former Playboy centerfold with addictive drugs. (See the full story here.)

Some of the allegations referred to instances in which two of her doctors prescribed drugs to numerous aliases, and how her boyfriend, Howard Kevin Stern, helped. Here's a sampling:

-- On Sept. 12, 2006, "Sandeep Kapoor prescribed two separate prescriptions for hydromorphone, [a painkiller and] a controlled substance, to Michelle Chase, intended for Anna Nicole Smith."

-- On Sept. 22, 2006, "With no legitimate medical purpose, Khristine Eroshevich prescribed clonazepam, [an anti-anxiety drug and] a controlled substance, and carisoprodol [a muscle relaxant] to Wesley Irwin, intended for Anna Nicole Smith."

-- On Aug. 25, 2006, "Howard K. Stern requested that a pharmacy in Los Angeles County, California ship methadone to Nassau, Bahamas in the name Vicki Marshall, which was intended for Anna Nicole Smith." Vicki Marshall is a combination of Smith's birth name, Vickie Lynn Hogan, and the last name of her late husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II.

Among the drugs that prosecutors found were unlawfully prescribed:

-- Ambien, which treats insomnia;

-- Hydromorphone, an extremely powerful form of morphine that can cause deep sleep;

-- Clonazepam, an anti-anxiety drug;

-- Methadone, a pain killer that works by changing the way the brain and nervous system responds to pain;

-- Xanax, a drug that treats anxiety disorders and panic attacks.

-- Rong-Gong Lin II

I think Howard Stern should be fired from his radio show!!!! He should not be allowed to get away with this!!!! George Bush and Rush Limbaugh should also be prosecuted for their part in this tragedy.

In response to StanS, the Howard Stern they are talking about in this article is NOT the radio personality. There are two of them with the same name, Howard Stern who does radio and Howard K. Stern who is a lawyer and was Anna Nicole's boyfriend.

That's not the same Howard Stern!
