March 2, 2009 |  4:28 pm

Ktlaupdate Here are some of the stories KTLA News reporters are working on this evening:

Hero clerk? While police officers continue their search for the man who stole beer from a supermarket, they are still shaking their heads at the actions of a bold clerk who jumped on the hood of the thief's car and rode several blocks before retrieving the stolen merchandise.

Big honor: Carson Mayor Jim Dear will present the key to the city of Carson to 114-year-old Gertrude Baines, validated as the oldest living person in the world. She will serve as celebrity grand marshal of the Obama Day President's Parade.
