Brace yourself: closure on 405 in Westside

405 Construction of carpool lanes on the 405 Freeway is once again expected to cause some traffic disruptions on the Westside.

Caltrans plans to close the southbound lanes of the 405 between Venice and Jefferson boulevards from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. Caltrans is adding carpool lanes on this section of the 405 Freeway through the Westside.

Once completed, the 405 carpool lane network will run from Orange County to the San Fernando Valley. The work this week involves replacing overhead signs.
