Woman killed in accident on Hollywood Freeway

The body of a woman who apparently died when her Chevy Trailblazer veered off the Hollywood Freeway near Universal City today has been found, according to the California Highway Patrol.

After swerving off the freeway near Lankershim Boulevard, the vehicle struck a pole, a tree and a fence before coming to rest near a wash. CHP officers were trying to determine the woman’s identity, as well as the time and cause of the accident.  Officer Francisco Villalobos said it was not clear whether the crash was weather-related.
