Rihanna, Chris Brown case: Prosecutors want more evidence
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office has directed the Los Angeles Police Department to do further investigation into the domestic violence allegations against R&B artist Chris Brown. Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office, said LAPD investigators presented the case to prosecutors this morning and, after reviewing the material, directed detectives to do further investigation before returning to them.
R&B star Rihanna is cooperating with investigators building a domestic violence case against her boyfriend, Brown, a police source said.
The source said the 20-year-old performer, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is providing "ongoing" cooperation with detectives who booked Brown on Sunday on suspicion of making criminal threats against her.
An early-morning altercation with Brown following a pre-Grammy Awards party left Rihanna with bruises and a scratch on her face, according to police sources. Her injuries were treated at a "major medical facility," a police source said.

Chris and Rihanna are clowns. Exactly why is this news? Celebs need to get it together, but, more importantly, the paparazzi should find something more important to report. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whether you like the artist or not, domestic abuse is not ok. The majority of everyone excusing him on every website are female.

I have just read this article on this issue (heard about it this morning on the radio)
I feel bad that this happened to Rihanna. (Don't know if it was her fault or Chris's)
However, she needs to go back to her roots (her first MV to SOS). She has changed so much (negatively). Some people can make that transition very well, but Rihanna slipped.
As for Chris Brown, never liked him, never will (don't hate me for that, just not my taste -- music-wise, and how he acts).

I was once a fan of Chris Brown but after hearing this i am completely shocked and never expected him to pull such a stunt. I think he let the fame and money get to his head and now he is going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of his life. One of the most surprising things is that he beat his long time girlfriend Rhianna who he appeared to be extremely close to for the last year. I thought they were such a cute couple and never expected anything like this would ever come up between them. Chris Brown was always thought to be a funny and well mannered guy who cared about everyone. Sadly i think his career is over which is disapointing because he was so young and successful, and had so much going for him. I am not going to make any judgements but i do believe that this was Chris' fault and that he should pay for what he has done. After all no matter how mad you are it is wrong to ever beat a woman. I hope Rhianna takes some time off to spend time with family so that she can heal and get her life back together because this had to be a devastating blow. I wish her the best of luck in the future and i am sad to hear this had to happen to such a sweet and down to earth girl. Luckily, i think this will be a huge career booster because she will have a lot of fans that are sypathetic and want her to succed. I wish her a speedy recovery and hope she knows that her fans are very supportive of her and want the same. Also, the paparazzi shoulf leave her and Chris alone because they are only making matters worse.

whoooa i feel soo bad 4 rihanna since he knocked out her teeth omg!!!!
Posted by: Nikki | February 10, 2009 at 08:51 PM
basically, i believe it's unfair and very immature for a guy to strike a woman (especially more than once) irrespective of what the woman did. A first slap may be regarded as overreacting/impulsive (that's not to excuse it) but a second, and then a third and... is rather barbaric.
But before one judges in this current case, one might want to wait to find out the full details.

Chris Brown, never hit a woman!!! Man it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: steve rodriguez | February 11, 2009 at 08:28 AM
I'm sick of people saying stuff like, "you should NEVER hit woman, no matter what she does." Some reports are saying that she hit him first. So, what was he supposed to do? Oh, and guess what, if he had held her down, he could have been charged with holding her hostage against her will. So, what options did he have? Realistically.
The bottom line is this: If you feel bad for a woman that got beat when she threw the first punch, then you don't think women are truly a man's equal. Why should he be held to a different standard than she is. And please don't come back with the, "she's smaller and weaker" line, because she knew she was smaller and weaker when she swung first. Grow up ladies. If you don't want men putting their hands on you, keep yours to yourselves (including slapping and pushing).

All this is crap..the reason why i say this is because Rhianna there is something about her that seems very sleezy even if she doesn't get her way. She seems very controlling and one can take so much!!!!!! I bevlieve she pushed his buttons WAY TOO Much he may have squezed her arms a bit too hard and left bruises on her as she is skinny as hell, but how does anyone know if she didn't do the bits on her arms on her own... he wanted to end the relationship and she wasn't having it at all!!!!!! Chris is a good kid, just a crazy chick...and yes i am a girl writing this!!!

She seems controlling? she hit him first? Do you people know either one of them?
It's sad that women are excusing Chris Brown for his behaviour and trying to find reasons to say Rihanna deserved it. Even if she had slapped him first, it doesn't justify him choking her and splitting her lip, and causing her injuries that make her end up at the hospital.
There's no valid excuse, there's no reason. If Chris Brown hit Rihanna, it's his fault ONLY, and he deserves to go to jail and his career to be ended because of that.

All these rumors. You guys don't even know the truth. First the rumors said Rihanna told her she gave Chris HIV, then the rumors said that he had heard that she was cheating on her so he freaked, now there saying that Rihanna hit her first? Come on people, you guys don't know th e ACTUAL story. You guys are just going by what you heard. I really don't think ANYONE knows the real story except Chris, Rihanna, and maybe the lawyers. So don't say anything if you weren't there. And PLEASE don't say you were there.

much luv 2 chris and rihanna.i do think it was kinda chris fault becuz no matter wat da situation is there is no reason 4 a man/boy 2 put there hands on a women/girl.personally i feel dat if nobody knos da whole story dey shuld stop makin stuff up becuz nobody knos da actual story behind all dis ruckis.just leave da 2 luv birdsalone things lik dis always happenes in young relationships even though it was wrong on chris part this kind of stuff always happenes.so just let dem figure it out on dere own.if dey want 2 get bac 2gether let dem b.again much luv 2 chris and rihanna.and im a girl

fact if the pic that was released was caused by chris sorry chris you need to go to jail. No reason for a man to do anything like that to a woman! if she hits ya toss her aside and walk away or if in a car get out of the car. how long should be based on what exactly her injuries were. minor cuts and bruses 5 months should do it... He needs help for sure as for her going back whatever go for it if you want but as much as I hate to agree with oprah *shivers* if he hit you once he will hit you again. Doesn't change my opinions on their music. Chris needs help plain and simple he messed up and messed up big. But there is no need to go over kill on something like this when I've seen regular men get away with worse. he did the crime now do the time no more no less then a non famous person.

domestic violence is not alright and hitting a woman isnt alright either, but if someone has gone through child abuse, especially by a father, that someone will bound to have the same actions if something to the extreme happens to him/her. This is called a blackout where someone goes berserk without knowing.
