Two men found fatally shot in South Gate

January 13, 2009 |  2:02 pm

Two men were found today shot to death inside a South Gate home, but detectives don't know who killed them or why, authorities said.

The bodies were found about 11:30 a.m. inside a house in the 10200 block of Washington Avenue, said Lt. Darren Arakawa, a spokesman for the South Gate Police Department. Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are conducting the homicide investigation, he said.

Investigators plan to listen to the 911 call that led officers to discover the bodies to help determine  how the caller knew about the incident and whether he or she heard gunshots or saw anything suspicious, Arakawa said.

“Right now we’re not sure exactly what the 911 call said, so we need to go back and listen to that, which might help in the investigation,” he said.
