Light showers on tap today

Clouds fill the sky as a man walks along Venice Beach. Although skies are cloudy this morning,  Los Angeles County is expected to receive only a few light showers today, and the temperature should reach the high 70s.  But expect a steady rainfall to begin late tonight and continue through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

“We’re looking for between half an inch to a little over an inch over the coastal areas, and then up in the mountains we could get a little over two inches,” said meteorologist Ryan Kittell with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
