Las Lomas might not be dead

Many people declared Las Lomas -- the controversial mini-city at the Newhall Pass -- dead. But could there be twitches of life? From the Daily News:

Las Lomas Land Co. announced Friday that it will appeal a court ruling that blocked the developer from building a controversial 5,500-home mini-city in the Newhall Pass.

A statement from Las Lomas spokesman Edward Park said the company had filed its intent to appeal a decision by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David P. Yaffe dismissing its lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles.

The lawsuit said the city erred in refusing to complete a review of the project that was necessary for the development to continue.
