Is Metrolink chief's job in jeopardy?

January 9, 2009 | 10:54 am

The Metrolink Board of Directors is currently meeting in downtown Los Angeles and there is an intriguing line on the supplemental agenda that says only "public employee discipline/dismissal/release."

The item is slated for closed session and allows the Board to discuss whether they may wish to terminate the contract of CEO David Solow, who has been under the microscope since the Sept. 12 crash of a Metrolink train and freight train in Chatsworth that killed 25.

Whether the Board makes a move on Solow remains to be seen. But they have the legal opening if they so choose.
