Navy chief pays respects to jet crash victims
The secretary of the Navy met Thursday with Dong Yun Yoon to “pay his respects and express condolences” in connection with the plane crash that killed four members of the Yoon family.
“I grieve for the loss of Mrs. Yoon, the Yoon children, Rachel and Grace, and Mrs. Kim,” said Secretary Donald C. Winter.
Marine Corps investigators are still probing the cause of Monday's F/A-18D crash, although preliminary findings are that the plane had lost power in both of its engines.
The plane destroyed the Yoon home in the University City neighborhood of San Diego.
The pilot ejected and parachuted to safety.

How commendible and classy that the victim, Mr. Yoon, who had his family wiped out would be so gracious and forgiving of the pilot for this horrible tragedy. What a major lesson in pure humanity and forgiveness. I think it is something which we can all learn from. How many of us would be so forgiving to have your loved ones snuffed out in such a horrible, wrenching accident and simply offer forgiveness. My heart really aches for this man. I hope the Navy makes some kind of provision for him.

I totally agree. This guy has a faith that you rarely see and, I'm pretty sure, his family is in heaven, as he said.

Commendible?
His whole family got wiped out because some idiot flying the jet. If I were him, I would be looking into serious lawsuits.
This pilot made a judgement mistake that cost the lives of people. Why is there a jet flying over residential areas? Can anyone answer that? I'm so sick of the cover up lies from the government.
