Former teacher charged with possession of child pornography

December 30, 2008 |  8:38 am

A former middle-school teacher in San Diego County has been charged with possession of child pornography, the U.S. attorney’s office said today.

Jay Kylee Bain, 37, allegedly kept hundreds of images on his computer of minors engaging in sexual contact. He also allegedly sent graphic photographs of himself to a former student and engaged in sexually explicit e-mail messages with the girl.

Bain remains in the federal jail in downtown San Diego awaiting a Friday court hearing. He formerly taught at La Presa Middle School in Spring Valley.
