Man fatally shot, another wounded in San Gabriel

December 5, 2008 |  8:24 am

Police are investigating the shooting death of one man and the wounding of another man outside a San Gabriel restaurant. The two men were found about 10:45 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 200 block of West Valley Boulevard with multiple gunshot wounds to their upper torsos, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victims and the gunman appeared to have been with a group inside the restaurant, said Deputy Art Spencer. A fight broke out when they left the restaurant, and the two men were shot. Authorities said the gunman fled in a car. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital, Spencer said. His condition was unknown.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives are assisting the San Gabriel Police Department with the investigation. The Sheriff's Department asked that anyone with information call homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.
