Motorist killed in crash in Inglewood

A motorist was killed after crashing into a tree in Inglewood this morning, authorities said.

The victim's car was southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard near West 85th Street about 3:40 a.m. when it hit the center divider, lost control and struck a tree, said Lt. Oscar Serrano of the Inglewood Police Department.

Another person in the vehicle was taken to a hospital, Serrano said.
