Friends, family recall two victims of Christmas Eve massacre

December 30, 2008 |  9:11 am

The youngest victim of the Christmas Eve shooting in Covina was recalled this week by friends and family as a good-hearted high school baseball player from Ontario. The Pasadena Star-News has more on 17-year-old Michael Ortiz.

Although L.A. County coroner's officials have not yet positively identified the nine people killed when Bruce Jeffrey Pardo unleashed a spray of bullets into his former in-laws home where family members had gathered to celebrate the holiday, relatives and friends have confirmed the names of those who died. Pardo later killed himself at his brother's home in Sylmar.

The Star-News also spoke with the best friend of Sylvia Pardo, Bruce Pardo's ex-wife, who also was killed that night.
