Heavy fog hanging over Southern California

December 2, 2008 |  8:09 am

Dense-fog advisories are in place this morning for areas of Ventura and Orange counties and interior valleys, according to the National Weather Service. The fog should dissipate by 10 a.m., although it's expected to linger longer on the coast, said meteorologist Stuart Seto.

The heavy fog has reduced visibility to a quarter of a mile or less, and drivers should use their low beams when driving through it, Seto said. The California Highway Patrol says there have been no fog-related accidents or Sigalerts so far.
