L.A. Unified suspends arts program

December 29, 2008 |  1:47 pm

An important arts program offered by the Los Angeles school district has been put on hold because of a serious budget shortfall. The 80 participating groups include the Music Center and the Center Theatre Group. More from The Times' Jason Song and Alicia Lozano on the cuts in arts education.
