Bill Clinton has his day in L.A. court

December 4, 2008 |  6:56 pm

Not sure this will help the "vetting process" for his wife's new job as Secretary of State. But Bill Clinton won a court victory today in Los Angeles involving a business deal gone bad and comic book icon Stan Lee. Details from the Associated Press:

A judge says the time has passed for a businessman to bring a lawsuit against former President Bill Clinton over an alleged business dealing. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz dismissed Clinton on Thursday as a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed in late 2003 by businessman and one-time Clinton fundraiser Peter F. Paul. Munoz says the statute of limitations had run out on Paul’s claims. Paul claimed Clinton interfered with his business dealings with a Japanese businessman, which led to the collapse of Stan Lee Media, a company started with comic book legend Stan Lee.
