Three Stooges take center stage in Glendale

Is that Truffaut film festival feeling a little too dark for these dark times? Well, you can go to the Alex Theatre in Glendale for the 11th annual "Three Stooges Big Screen Event."
The theme of the “Stooge-fest” is “Pardon My Amnesia,” with the event featuring a collection of Stooges films “that we have somehow forgotten in our past 10 screenings,” according to organizers.
The schedule includes screenings of “In the Sweet Pie and Pie” (1941), “Three Little Beers” (1935), “Punch Drunks” (1934), “Fright Night” (1947) and “Disorder in the Court” (1936). Also on the schedule is a rarely seen 1974 interview with Larry Fine, which was provided by his family. Organizers said the interview features Fine talking about the trio’s early years, the development of their film personalities and their particularly physical brand of comedy.
