Porter Ranch fire 'a blowtorch'; animal evacuations at Pierce College and Hansen Dam
If you were watching the TV news about 10 a.m., you saw the first wisps of smoke and flickers of flame appear above Porter Ranch. That fire, shown in the photo above, fire is now 750 acres.
“It is a blowtorch we can't get in front of,” L.A. County Fire Inspector Frank Garrido told Associated Press.
Meanwhile, two evacuation centers for livestock have been set up, one at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, and one at the Hansen Dam Equestrian Center in Sylmar.
