Kate Moss -- worth her weight in gold?

3:22 PM | October 4, 2008

Pretzel_illogic_2 As far as stunt art goes, it's an unbeatable formula. Take a notorious pop celebrity (the more emotionally troubled and accident prone, the better); create a life-size statue of him or her; stand back and let the bidding begin.

It has been given notoriety simply because of its beauty not its usefulness or progression in any way to our culture, it garners attention because it is avant guard provocative and is something strangely unpredictable reminds us all what we dont have -which is all the attention we've all craved since it became apperant (to some) as children that the world does not revolve around us, and people wont give you the attention you desire from them unless you are either really good or really bad at something. It makes me sad the we as a society dont want more then that, but it makes me happy that I can define what veiw as valuable.
