Total acreage burned by the two fires tearing through the northern reaches of L.A. is now up to 10,000, this despite more than 1,000 firefighters and nine water-dropping aircraft working nonstop. Winds are gusting to 45 mph, and now comes word that tomorrow's temperatures will climb into the high 80s.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has just added a call line for information on road closures related to the Sesnon fire -- that's the name for the fire in Porter Ranch, and the fire in the photo. The number is (800) 439- 2909.
