Sacramento budget battle continues
It's either a sophisticated round of chess or a playground game of dodge ball, but the California budget smackdown continues.
This morning we reported that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger planned to formally veto the state budget on Friday, citing the need to have all the relevant budget documents in hand before moving forward. In the meantime, Schwarzenegger's office has launched a PR campaign in hopes of winning enough legislative support to stop the promised override.
Now comes word that, as of 11 a.m., the clerk of the state assembly delivered both the budget and the supplemental budget bill to Schwarzenegger.
If it's a chess game, that's check. If we're in 5th grade, it sounds more like "Neener neener neener."

Most of the commenting Freepers that will post don't even live in California. If the conservatives want to spend more on prisons than on higher education, then they have to pay for it. It's time for change in California too. Vote the bums out.

The problem in California is that the State Employees via their unions have been transferring the money in the State's Treasury to themselves in payhikes, benefits, and pensions. Now the State is broke. Keep on giving full benefits and pensions to school crossing guards guys.
