Schwarzenegger: No state budget = no RNC appearance
During an appearance in downtown Los Angeles this morning, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he still does not plan to attend the Republican National Convention in St. Paul next week unless he reaches an agreement with legislators on the budget.
“If we do not have a budget, I will not go to the convention,” Schwarzenegger said as he stood with members of the California Contract Cities Assn. and Independent Cities Assn. on the convention center steps this morning.
“The most important thing is to solve the budget crisis, to bring Democrats and Republicans together,” the governor said.
Schwarzenegger did not answer a question about whether he would make a televised appearance at the convention, and reiterated his position that the Legislature should not borrow to cover the budget deficit.

Excellent! Now democrats have more of a reason to keep Arnie's maniac polices from becoming law. California can't survive more of Arnie's lunacy, just the way the US can't survive more of Bush's. Keeping fools like Arnie out of the political process is a victory for everyone.
I call upon all thinking Americans to pull every dirty trick imaginable to kick the Republicans out of power. The Republicans would gladly sacrifice the rest of us, and major portions of their own party (those deluded and foolish blacks, gays, poor people, etc. who think that Bush and Company give a hoot about them) for an three hundred dollar check. The Republican War has been used to steal trillions of dollars from US taxpayers, don't let McCain steal a trillion more, kill more soldiers and civilians, and make an already terrifying situation worse.

Good! No point in him going to the Republican show anyway. He's just a Democrat in sheep's clothing.

The Iraq / Afghanistan war wasn't started to steal trillions of dollars from us, even though there is the opportunity to do just that. The war was to keep the terrorists from expanding and flying jets into our buildings, blowing up our trains, and killing innocent people. If people would quit thinking that it should be just Republicans or Democrats making our policies, we wouldn't have this divided country. This country is so divided and none of our politicians seem to want to work together to better our country FOR THE PEOPLE. Is there ever going to be a day when they can work together? There is so much hatred in our country it makes me sick.

"...every dirty trick imaginable to kick the Republicans out..."? I thought that was the Republicans "way" - "knowing" you are right so any means necessary are justified.

To Rudy: Iraq had NOTHING to do with keeping the terrorists from expanding and flying jets into our buildings, blowing up our trains, and killing innocent people. Nothing. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

i think arnold is doing the right thing because the republicans and the democrats need to be in together like it say's and yeah..its true the troops have nothing to do with all of this or 9/11 but sometimes you got to let the gov. Do what he has to do because i know that he is trying to do the best for not just me,or you but for all of us he is just trying to even us all out.
