August 4, 2008 |  4:49 pm

KMEX-TV is claiming bragging rights as Los Angeles' No. 1 rated TV station. Among the highlights, the Spanish-language station says it topped local competitors for the early evening newscasts:

With the end of the July 2008 sweep period, results show that Univisions flagship station, KMEX-TV Univision 34, delivered more adults 18-49 viewers than any other station in Los Angeles, regardless of language, in all major day parts: primetime, daytime, early fringe, and early evening and late local news. The rating highlights for the July 2008 NSI survey include the following:  KMEX-TV swept prime time in the key demos of adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 averaging ratings well above all other stations including the English-language network affiliates, KTTV (FOX), KABC-TV (ABC), and KNBC-TV (NBC).
