The San Diego Highway Man, driving to your rescue

July 25, 2008 | 11:11 am

He drives the freeway in search of cars -- and people -- in trouble. Out of gas? He'll give you some. Flat tire? He'll help with the spare. All Thomas Weller asks in return is that you pay the favor forward. He's the San Diego Highway Man, on the road to altruism since 1966. Elizabeth Douglass has the story right here.
