Transmission Cal-ISO, the operator of the state's electricity grid, warned that it might issue a Stage 1 power alert, when conservation is urged, for Tuesday as temperatures heat up across the state.  Wednesday and Thursday may bring a Stage 2, when power is interrupted to big users that have agreed in advance.
