Phil Spector heads back to court
Ten months ago, Phil Spector and his wife, Rachelle, celebrated the hung jury in his murder trial by dancing in the driveway of their mansion in full view of a TV helicopter. This morning, they are stepping a little less lightly as they arrive in court for a hearing to decide key evidentiary matters in his retrial, set for late September. The Spectors are typically well-dressed, he in a bright red tie and knee-length black jacket, she in a form-fitting lilac suit. Among the issues up for discussion in Superior Court Judge Larry P. Fidler's court is a new witness who claims Spector menanced her with a gun in 1996.
