San Bernardino County sheriff flooded with calls

July 29, 2008 |  1:00 pm

No surprise, but the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has been inundated with calls from people who were frightened by the shaking, said spokeswoman Jodi Miller.

Still, she said there were no reports of injury or structural damage. Sheriff officials are responding to multiple calls from people whose house alarms have been activated. They also have many reports of books and groceries flying off shelves at supermarkets and a Barnes and Noble bookstore.
