Steve Lopez invites you to take a porn show quiz

OK, you’ve all seen Scott Glover’s story by now about U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Alex Kozinski, who had a nice little porn stash on his personal website while presiding over the obscenity trial of an adult-film maker who was big on bestiality and defecation.

For the most part I don’t care what people look at on the Internet, but I’m just wondering which aspect of the story readers found the most surprising, if not shocking:

  A) That Kozinski’s porn included naked women on all fours, painted to look like cows.

  B) That when asked about pubic shots of women sitting near a “Bush for President” poster, Kozinski said, “That’s a funny joke.”

  C) That Kozinksi said he didn’t know his website was accessible to the public.

  D) That Kozinksi blamed his son, Yale, for uploading some of the porn.

  The polls are now open.

  Vote early and often.

easily woman as cow. That ain't porn, its just weird. This judge obviously has some interesting viewpoints, eh?

Hypocrisy, misogyny, arrested development... none of that surprises me. It was when he threw his own son under the bus that he crossed a line.

Its good to see that someone who is in the public eye has such a open and more "down to earth" attitude when it comes to life. It seems far too often people are worried about their imagine; often hiding who they really are thus making for a bigger "scandal" when something like this comes out.

Hey, he likes what he likes when it comes to erotica (the term porn is only used for shock value and to debase), so good for him. No, I don't think it makes him impartial for possibly having a like for such content so long as he does remain impartial, just as we ask those judges who obviously don't like such behavior to be impartial.

This judge is sick. He is in no shape to objectively decide the fate of others when his own life view is so warped. Please continue to shine the journalistic spotlight on him until he is removed from the bench.
