Readers, the summer season may not officially begin until the 21st, but the theater season at the rustic and lush Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga always seems like a herald of more lazy, hazy, hang-back times. The comedy "As You Like It" kicks it off tonight, with a Civil War-era take on the Bard's tale of mistaken identity. Tickets are $20-$28.
Also today, at the Skirball Center, the West African ensemble Dafra offers a lively performance of traditional call-and-response singing, drumming and dance. No reservations are required.
